VOODOO DEATH GUN
Voodoo Death Gun is a rock band from Seattle Washington. The Bands line up was finalized in 2017 with Donovan Meinzinger being the final member to join the band. At the age of 4 I heard Led Zeppelin & Jimi Hendrix for the first time, and knew right then I wanted to play guitar in a Rock Band! I started on bass, but by the time I was 12 had moved to guitar. My interest in singing started at the Young age of 4 as well. But, i didn't start singing lead vocals until much later. Chris and I were in a couple bands together when we were younger BlackWater & Blue Sky High in the Seattle hay day, and he sang. After Black Water I went on to be a part of many Bands. Evergreen, Supernals, Death Valley Murder Squad, and Sumo. and now Voodoo Death Gun! and I'm loving it!

My family moved from Texas to Washington State in the late 60's, finally settling on the Eastside in the mid 70's. I started playing bass in the early 80's, and played in Seattle area bands all through the 80's, 90's, and 00's. I met Paul in the late 80's during the club scene. We reconnected after a chance meeting in 2014 and started working on some music he had been writing. We founded a band called SUMO, played a few gigs, and got great responses from everyone. After a few drummer and guitar player changes, we found the perfect fit with Chris and Mikee and that's how Voodoo Death Gun was born!! As a bassist, it's rare to find a drummer who knows what I'm going to do before I do it, But that's Chris! Paul and Mikee really complement each other's styles and abilities. That helps to give us our unique groove and sound. I'm influenced by Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Dio, Slipknot, and just about every other band out there. I use Spector and ESP Basses with GK Amplifiers. It's been a crazy ride so far and I hope it doesn't stop anytime soon! It's really cool to see everyone come out and headbang with us. We're stoked you enjoy it as much as we do. We appreciate all of you so much! Thanks!
It was 1973/ 74 or something, I started playing Xylophone, and other percussion instruments like pots, pans, and buckets. At some point in my young life I was turned on to Zeppelin, Blue Oyster Cult, Black Sabbath and the lot. I spent my teenage years learning about music and the biz by teching for bands. I learned how to play guitar, bass, and sing. When the time was right I met Paul, Soon we had our first band going, Blue Sky High! Later due to a couple member changes we renamed the band Black Water with me on vocals. we stayed together with good local success. but shit happens!!! I went on to sing for bands like No Love, Surgical Chaos, and ServeChrist. Did a couple solo projects. AND THEN! I bought a drumset! Life for me changed. I was reunited with Paul in 2014 but the rolls had changed. Now he was singing and I was on Drums, and Dave "The Thunder" Jackson on bass. Who knew it would be a Magic Combo! Playing with Paul, David, and Mike in Voodoo Death Gun is a blessing, and the pinnacle of years of hard work and dedication to music and fans. Drum On People
Donovan moved to Seattle from Spokane in 2014. Then in 2017 he joined Voodoo Death Gun. He was previously in the band Hart Avail. His influences range from rock to death metal. His guitar playing is explosive and fits the bands dark, heavy sound. He brings a new energy to Voodoo Death Gun and a unique angle to the bands song writing. With Donovan joining the band, it’s line-up is now solidified and it’s sound is original yet classic.
